Moving is exhausting. By the time the boxes land in your new home, you've already spent weeks packing, coordinating movers, signing paperwork, and managing a hundred small stressors. The last thing you want is to spend the next three months living out of half-opened boxes, trying to figure out where everything should go.
Orderly Nest's unpacking service takes the final stretch off your plate. Amber comes in, unpacks your belongings, and sets up organized systems in your new home from the very beginning, so you don't have to undo bad habits later.
Why Unpacking Matters More Than People Realize
Most people assume they'll unpack gradually and figure out organization as they go. What actually happens is that the "temporary" placement of items becomes the permanent one. The junk drawer gets established in week one and stays that way for years. The pantry gets stocked without a system and never gets one.
Starting organized is significantly easier than reorganizing later. When Orderly Nest sets up your kitchen, pantry, closets, and common areas right after your move, those systems become the baseline. Your family learns where things go from the beginning, which means you're not fighting years of ingrained habits.
What the Unpacking Process Looks Like
Before Orderly Nest arrives, Amber will talk with you about the layout of your new home, which rooms are highest priority, and what your household's daily routines look like. That conversation shapes where she starts and how she structures each space.
On the day of the session, Amber and her team unpacks boxes, sorts items into categories, and assigns each category a logical home within your new space. She considers traffic patterns, how you cook, how your kids move through the house, where things naturally land, and what will make daily life run smoothly for your specific family.
At the end of the session, nothing is left in a box. You get a walkthrough so you know exactly where everything lives. Your new home feels like home, not a storage unit.
Unpacking with Organization Built In
The difference between a regular unpacking service and what Orderly Nest does is that organization is built into the process, not added later. Every drawer, shelf, and cabinet is set up intentionally. Products are recommended based on what you actually own, not based on what looks good in photos.
This means your kitchen is set up so the things you reach for every morning are at arm's reach. Your kids' rooms are organized in a way kids can actually maintain. Your bathroom cabinets make sense for the products your family uses.
Great for Families Relocating to Utah
If you're moving to Utah from another state, Orderly Nest is a particularly good fit. You're not just settling into a new home; you're settling into a new community, and the less time you spend digging through boxes, the faster you can focus on the things that matter, like getting the kids enrolled in school, finding your new favorite restaurants in Lehi or Provo, and figuring out the local running trails.
Amber and her team have helped families relocating to Utah County and Salt Lake County get established quickly and comfortably.
Add Packing Support If You Need It
If you're still in the packing stage, Orderly Nest can help there too. Having your belongings packed in an organized, intentional way makes the unpacking process significantly faster and sets you up for better systems from the start.

We organize anything in your home: kitchens, pantries, closets, playrooms, garages, storage rooms, home offices, etc. No space is too messy or overwhelming—we’ve seen it all!
We just need you at the start for decluttering decisions, reachable for check-ins along the way, and available at the end to wrap up. If you’re working from home or need to step out briefly, that’s totally fine! We never discard anything without your OK.
Yep! We’re moms. We know how to work around kids.
Not necessarily! We always work with what you already have when possible. If products would make a big difference, we’ll offer suggestions—and you can choose to shop yourself or use our optional Shopping Service.
For a $35 fee, we’ll take care of shopping for all the organizing products you need and handle any returns for you. You’ll just reimburse us for the cost of the items—we always check in with you first to confirm the total before making any purchases.
Every session includes decluttering guidance and hands-on organizing, product recommendations, custom labeling, and donation haul-away. We’ll create systems that actually work for your lifestyle—not just ones that look good in photos.
It depends on the size and complexity of the space. In a 5-hour session, we can usually complete one area (like a pantry, closet, or laundry room). Larger or more cluttered spaces often take multiple sessions.
While we’re not a cleaning service, we always tidy and wipe down surfaces as we organize. You’ll definitely feel a fresh, reset vibe when we’re done!
Never judgmental—truly. We meet every client with compassion and zero shame, no matter what your space looks like. That said, decluttering can feel overwhelming at times, and that’s completely normal. We’re here to guide you through it at your pace, never pressuring you to make a decision you’re not ready for. Our goal is to make the process feel as easy and supportive as possible.
Yes! If you don’t see something we offer, just ask! We can help with move-ins, downsizing a loved one, decluttering after loss, or setting up a craft space. We’re happy to tailor our services to your needs. Just ask—we’ll figure it out together.
Yes! Whether it’s mail, school papers, or office stuff, we create simple, sustainable systems for managing it.
While our main focus is function, we love making spaces look good too! We aren’t designers, but can help with layout, product picks, and light styling. Think practical with a touch of pretty!
